VOLUNTEER WITH US!Chatty Café Australia is looking for Chatty Volunteers to help facilitate conversations at designated ‘Have a Chat’ tables and act as “ice-breakers” to introduce the Chatty concept across Australia.Where would you be volunteering? Whilst a Chatty venue is most likely to be a café or restaurant local to you, it could also be a local club, pub, community centre, aged-care residential facility, hospital cafeteria, school, library, shopping centre or neighbourhood house.

Volunteers needed to provide support on our minibus during pick-ups and drop offs. Responsibilities: • Escort clients to and from the bus at their homes and at Sandybeach Centre • Ensure safety in the bus with seat belts and storing of walking aids and personal items • Interacting with participants throughout the class, helping them enjoy their program. Skills Required: • Punctuality and reliability • A supporting and non-patronising manner • Sensitivity to the needs of the elderly • General level of fitness required

We’re looking for a very special Italian speaking person to become a Volunteer Community Visitor to Rose* to help ease her loneliness.Rose* is living in an aged care facility in Sandringham and would greatly benefit from a regular visitor who can speak Italian. She would love someone to go for walks with her or participate in art and craft activities together.
