    Free

    Book into these twenty minute one-on-one sessions with a staff member to help you with your device. Please remember to bring your own device. These sessions will be run at Beaumaris Library, Sandringham Library, Hampton Library and Brighton Library. Please click the link to find out more about dates and times. Bookings are essential.

  • Dance Movement for People with Dementia

    Free

    Experience the joy of movement and connection in our Dance Movement program for individuals with dementia and their carers. Through simple activities, we create a space for expression, using rhythm and music to relax and reconnect. All abilities are welcome, with activities adapted to individual needs. As a carer support initiative this program provides a supportive environment for both carers and individuals with dementia. Please wear closed shoes for comfort and safety during sessions.

    Bayside Farmers' Market, Sandringham - 4th Saturday Every Month

    The Bayside Farmers Market comes to Trey Bit Reserve (Jetty Road), Sandringham at 8am-1pm on the fourth Saturday of every month. You’ll discover fresh produce direct from the farm, gourmet delights, take-away food & coffee, all at a fabulous beachside location. So get your family and friends together and join us! The Bayside Farmers Market is held on the 4th Saturday of every month at the spectacularly located Trey Bit Reserve, Sandringham, a fabulous beachside location off Jetty Road near the Sandringham Yacht Club.

    An eclectic ensemble of professional piano player performers from allover - and a relay of talented locals. Plantscaping by Bay Road Nursery and flower feature by Adam the Flower Man. So, save the date, bring the family, and join in the fun. Oh yes... there'll be food trucks too, the day ending with a surprise.

  • Mushroom Foraging and ID with Sequoia

    Join mycologist and environmental educator, Sequoia Lewien, for an educational adventure in mushroom foraging and identification. Learn how to identify common edible mushrooms and tap into a wonderful food source this autumn. In this hands-on workshop, you will discover how to distinguish the toxic from the delicious and gain new insights into the fantastic world of fungi.

    Conservation and Conversation working bees are a great way to learn more about some of Bayside's beautiful heathland, bushland and foreshore reserves and the volunteers who work hard to maintain and improve them. Come along and join in a regular working bee and hear more about the Reserve from the Volunteer Reserve Convenor while enjoying a cuppa with old friends and new. Two of our Reserves are holding Conversation and Conservation working bees, conveniently located a short walk from each other.

    Chatty Café at Sandringham Library

    Have a chat and reconnect! Chatty Cafe is a global movement to help bring people together, reduce social isolation and build social connections within the local community. Chatty Cafe events are being held in a variety of locations across Bayside. Venues provide a chat table where community members, with the support of volunteers, can come together and have a chat! So, if you are someone who wants to connect more with your local community, meet new people, or just enjoy the company of others why not try a Chatty Cafe?

"The Engraver's Secret" is a stunning art history thriller set around the life, times, and feuds of the artist Peter Paul Rubens and tells the story of two women, a mysterious map, and a family secret spanning hundreds of years.
