Ellen José Student Reconciliation Awards - winners and finalists 2023
The Awards are aimed at Bayside primary and secondary school students, bringing awareness of reconciliation to our young people, who are the future of Australia, through art and writing. Entrants are asked to interpret "As a young person, what does reconciliation mean to you?" in their artwork or writing piece. Bayside Native of the day: Blue Chequered Cuckoo Bee
Saturday, 20 May is World Bee Day and we're turning our attention to one of Bayside’s local native bee species the incredible Blue Chequered Cuckoo Bee. This native bee has striking iridescent blue and black colouration and demonstrates resourcefulness and adaptability, enabling it to thrive in its native Australian environment.
