Paying for parking
Foreshore parking
We have 19 foreshore parking areas along the bay. These are free to use by residents correctly displaying their beach parking permits or have a digital beach parking permit assigned to their vehicle.
For visitors who do not have beach parking permits, a paid parking session is required.
Foreshore and Beach Road parking prices
The prices are as follows:
- $19.50 all day
- $15.20 for 4 hours
- $6.50 per hour
Infringements may be issued to vehicles parked without permits or valid paid parking session, even if the owner holds a relevant permit.
Paid parking areas are installed along the foreshore car parks and some sections of Beach Road.
Residents displaying a current beach parking permit are exempt from paying for a parking session.
One hour parking restrictions have been introduced in the side streets adjoining Beach Road. Eligible residents displaying resident and visitor parking permits on their vehicles are exempt from the time-based parking restrictions in these streets.
Buying your parking session
All of our parking meter are now cashless and only accept Visa or Mastercard. You can either use one of the on-site parking meters or the Easy Park app.
Faulty meters
In the event that a parking meter is not working please phone Duncan Solutions on 1300 309 590 and quote the number displayed on the parking meter.
They will provide you with a reference number to quote should you require further assistance.
When reporting faulty parking meter, please be aware that in most instances off-street parking facilities have a number of meters.
You must endeavour to purchase a valid parking session from a working parking meter or pay via the Easy Park app.
