Callout for Schulim Krimper furniture in Bayside
Schulim Krimper (1893-1971) was a master craftsman whose work holds a distinctive place in twentieth-century Australian furniture design. Trained in Europe, he was a skilled woodworker who respected and revered the timbers he used.
The objects he created – from small-lidded containers to entire dining suites – are characterised by a refined modern aesthetic and are appreciated and admired just as much today as they were when they were first made.
Bayside Gallery is organising an exhibition about Krimper in mid-2025 and we are seeking examples of his work in the Bayside area for possible inclusion in the display.
If you have any pieces by Krimper, large or small, please contact Bayside Gallery with an image and details.
