Cevanne - Billilla Outdoor Arts Lab 

This November, local musicians Olivia Jones and George Worthy are exploring a site-specific duet for electroacoustic bassoon and clarinet. This artist talk and sound walk is a showing of work developed while on site in the gardens from Monday 11 to Friday 29 November.

Cevanne is an improvised experimental collaboration between sound artists Olivia Jones (bass clarinet, clarinet, electronics) and George Worthy (bassoon, clarinet, electronics). Through acoustic and electronic improvisation Olivia and George explore the way sound exists in various spaces not only physically but also in relation to historical and social contexts. A Bayside resident, Olivia is a current PhD candidate in Jazz and Improvisation at the Victorian College of the Arts. George is active in the Brunswick experimental sound community, and as a producer of beautiful woven fibre art works.
