Rose Street, Sandringham drainage improvements

Road, footpath and street trees on Rose Street, Sandringham.

We are upgrading drainage on the west side of the road outside 1-27 Rose Street, Sandringham from 1 October to December 2024.

These essential works aim to enhance our drainage infrastructure and reduce flooding risks.

Here’s what you need to know about the project:

Scope of works

  • We’ll be digging and laying new pipes under the on the west side of the road outside 1-27 Rose Street, Sandringham from 1 October – December.
  • The work will be done in stages to keep things moving smoothly and limit disruption.

What to expect during the works

  • The works are along the west side of the road outside 1-27 Rose Street, Sandringham.
  • Works are weather-dependent and are expected to start on 1 October and finish in early December.
Most residents will experience some temporary loss of driveway access. We’re doing our best to minimise inconvenience by staging the work and keeping pedestrian access open at all times. Our contractors will provide door-to-door notices before any changes to access.
  • Vehicle access to Rose Street will be restricted at times during construction. These restrictions will be intermittent. We’re working to manage traffic flow and keep disruptions to a minimum.
  • There will be no parking on either side of the road during construction. Parking will be available on side streets and safe pedestrian access to homes will be maintained.
  • We’ll keep you updated with the latest information through our website and social media. We will also write to residents to keep them updated on the project.
