Our popular Shops on Show recognises the best decorated shop windows throughout Bayside shopping strips - from Martin Street, Brighton to Beaumaris Concourse.

Each Bayside shopping strip was represented on Council’s Facebook page in a photo gallery and residents and shoppers voted for their favourite.

Base Curve Optical owner Lucija Valentic said she is thrilled with her win.

“I am so happy. I love doing my windows and my customers always comment on them. I change the theme throughout the year and Shops on Show is a great competition,” she said.

Lucija said her beautiful colour scheme was inspired by little cupcakes she bought in the supermarket.

“It reminded me of the colours of Tiffany and it evolved from there,” Lucija said.

“I love hearing little kids stopping outside for a look and getting excited. It’s great that people took time to vote in the competition.

“I love Sandringham. It’s a great community.”

The winners in each shopping village are:

Sandringham - Base Curve Optical

Hampton St – Ella Bache

Beaumaris – Flavours

Church St – Gazman

Bay St – Vintage Rose
