Welcome to the new Dendy Beach Pavilion

The Dendy Beach Pavilion is open for lifesavers, beachgoers, and coffee lovers! 

This much-anticipated community facility incorporates the Brighton Life Saving Club, a new café, and the building integrates environmentally sustainable features into the surrounding natural environment.

The new Brighton Life Saving Club provides vital facilities for lifesavers to respond to emergencies. The club’s new facilities are designed to improve safety for beachgoers, and include a lifesavers’ beach observation area, multi-purpose training space, equipment storage, change rooms and public toilets.

The café operator, Beach House Brighton are ready to welcome customers to enjoy city views and afternoon sunsets from their 18-seat outdoor deck and 32 indoor seats behind the floor to ceiling windows.

The café is serving breakfast and lunch ranging from French toast to fish tacos, and the takeaway window is serving beach favourites and more. Open 7 days a week between 7am and 4pm (with extended hours in the warmer months), the café is easily accessible from the onsite car park. Visit Beach House Brighton for more information.

Bayside Mayor, Councillor Fiona Stitfold said "The new pavilion is the centrepiece of an upgrade for Bayside's iconic Dendy Beach precinct which will service our community and visitors. This pavilion provides a space where all users of the facility can feel included, comfortable and welcome to participate in leisure, sports and social activities. As one of Melbourne's most visited tourist sites, Dendy Beach now has a magnificent facility which will be visited by people from across the world".

Council invested $10.6 million in the building, which was also supported by the Victorian Government and Life Saving Victoria ($1 million) and the Brighton Life Saving Club ($500,000).
