Statement on the Victorian Government's Activity Centre announcement
We are disappointed with the lack of consultation with Council and the community on the Victorian Government’s expanded activity centre program announced in the media yesterday.
Bayside is supportive of the need for more housing however this must be achieved through active engagement with Council and local communities in order to achieve high quality outcomes that maintain the liveability of our suburbs.
We are yet to see any detail on the expanded program and urge the Victorian Government to engage constructively on changes to planning controls in Bayside.
