Prepare for train line disruptions

The Level Crossing Removal Project is putting the finishing touches to new stations, car parks, a walking and cycling path as well as planting and landscaping.  

To facilitate the works, buses will replace trains on the Frankston and Stony Point lines as level crossing removal work continues.

Key dates are:

  • From 8.30pm Thursday 10 February to last service on Sunday 13 February - buses replace trains between Mordialloc, Frankston and Stony Point.
  • Monday 14 February to Wednesday 16 February from 8.40pm to last service each night - buses replace trains between Mordialloc and Frankston.
  • From 8.30pm Friday 25 February to last service Sunday 27 February - buses replace trains between Caulfield and Mordialloc.

Travelling on replacement buses

Most train replacement buses will be low-floor models but if you need help or cannot board a replacement bus, contact PTV prior to travelling on1800 800 007 or speak to PTV staff at the bus stop.

Bikes, surfboards and dogs (apart from assistance animals) can’t be brought ono the replacement bus.

You can touch on and off at your connecting train station.

Work along the line will continue until mid-2022, so stay up to date with service disruptions at levelcrossings.vic.gov.au
