Graeme Altmann Brings Nature to Life at Billilla Outdoor Arts Lab

Join renowned landscape painter Graeme Altmann at the Billilla Outdoor Arts Lab from 13 to 26 May. This initiative offers artists a unique opportunity to explore their creativity in the picturesque setting of Billilla Gardens.

Graeme Altmann is a well-established Australian landscape painter. His work has been collected throughout Australia by private and public collections including Sydney University, Dobell foundation, ANZ Art collection amongst others. Altman was born in Warrnambool on the southwest coast of Victoria, where he draws much of his inspiration from. He now works from this studio in Bayside.

While taking part in Outdoor Arts Lab, Graeme is working on ‘The sound between the trees’, a series of paintings and drawings inspired by the enchanting greenery and trees within the Billilla Gardens.

Join us on Sunday, May 26, from 12:30 to 2:30 pm, for a free drop-in painting session led by Altmann. Bring your own easel and materials and be inspired by the historic trees of Billilla. Following the workshop, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm, all are welcome to meet the artist and hear him speak about his practice. Take in Altmann's newest works and hear firsthand about his creative journey amidst the beautiful surroundings of Billilla Mansion and Gardens in this special event.
