EV charger rollout across Bayside
We are installing six electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in Bayside’s shopping precincts in partnership with JOLT Australia.
These fast chargers will be installed over Summer 2024/25 at no cost to the Council. JOLT will provide 7kWh of free charging to each customer every 24 hours, equivalent to approximately 45-50 km of driving range.
Locations for the new fast-chargers include:
- Highett Station
- Black Street carpark, Brighton
- Seaview Shops, Beaumaris
- Sandringham Library
- Black Rock public carpark
- Mills Street, Hampton
We’ve selected these locations based on community and trader support during during community consultation in March and April 2024.
This initiative aligns with Bayside's Parking Strategy and Climate Emergency Action Plan.
