The bin fairy has visited all of Bayside
We’ve completed delivery of over 40,000 new red lidded general waste bins throughout Bayside. The old dark green general waste bins have been sent to a local plastics recycler in Cheltenham to be recycled.
Our contractor is still coming around to remove old dark green general waste bins. If you’ve still got yours on your nature strip, don’t worry, we’ll be around to remove it. It’s wheelie important to leave your old dark green bin out, even after it has been emptied.
Tip: to prevent people from putting rubbish in your bin, once it has been emptied you can tape it shut or turn it upside down.
This is part of the Victorian Government’s plan for all councils across Victoria to use the same coloured bin system by 2030 – so it’s easy to recycle right, no matter where you are.
