Mentor for Starfish Nippers at Hampton Life Saving Club

Starfish Nippers is a modified beach and water safety education program for children and young individuals with various disabilities, run alongside our Nippers program.

Each Starfish is supported by a Mentor, a volunteer who brings enthusiasm, empathy, skills, and energy. This facilitates flexible delivery of the program according to each Starfish's individual needs and maximises successful participation, so everyone goes home with a smile on their face each week.

The Mentors do the sand and water activities alongside the Starfish, which is heaps of fun.

The program runs each Saturday from 23 November through late March 2025, with a big break over Christmas and New Year's.

We desperately need more Mentors. Can you help us facilitate this fabulous and potentially life-saving opportunity for children in Bayside?

Come and join us in having fun in the sun this summer!
