Brighton Historical Society - Social Media Coordinator

Brighton Historical Society (BHS) is a is a not-for-profit incorporated volunteer organisation and was founded in 1963. BHS collects, preserves and exhibits items and information connected to the history and heritage of Brighton, Victoria.

BHS currently has a membership of over 200 and is open Monday and Thursday 12 midday to 4.00 pm.

BHS welcomes new members and anyone who would like to contribute to the management and development of the Society.

Membership of the BHS is open to all. Anyone with an interest in history is welcome to join.

Key Function:
Assists the President by creating a communications plan and maintaining an events calendar. Create content for the Society’s Facebook page and BHS Website. Respond to communications via the Society’s Facebook account and the BHS Website.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop approaches to promote BHS’s profile and boost volunteer engagement via social media
• Create content for the Society’s Facebook and Website social media pages
• Evaluate the Society’s social media strategy
• Attendance at monthly Committee meetings.
