Green Gathering

Come join in the Green Gatherings at Brighton Communal Garden! The Green Gatherings are run by Cultivating Community https://www.cultivatingcommunity.org.au a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to fostering community connections and sustainable practices through various initiatives like community gardens, cooking and gardening workshops, and work pathway programs.

In collaboration with Community Housing Limited (CHL), we are thrilled to activate the new space at the end of Airlie Street in Brighton.

Our primary focus is managing the communal gardens, aiming to engage the Brighton community in growing food together!

We are excited to introduce our Green Gathering sessions, held every fortnight on Mondays from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. These sessions are free and open to anyone who lives, works, or plays in the area and has a passion for gardening and sustainability.

We value community input on preferred crops, home gardening tips, and cultural meals to ensure our program meets local needs.
