Children's Week Community Event 2024

All families are welcome to come along for a free fun filled morning, 9.30 am -12 Noon on Saturday 26 October at Bayside’s Corporate Centre at 76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham. Face painting and a magic show are a few of the activities available to help children celebrate in Bayside!

For this special event Lion’s Club, will be providing a free breakfast BBQ the whole Family can enjoy. Other activities include:

• Cooking Workshops
• Crafting activities
• Face painting 
• Planting stalls 
• Magic show: SOLD OUT.

Each year Children’s Week, held on the fourth week in October, celebrates the right of all children to enjoy childhood and creates a space for children to demonstrate their skills, talents and abilities.

This year’s theme is ‘Children have the right to a clean and safe environment’. 

This theme invites us to think about the importance of fun in a child’s life, and recognises the right Children have to good quality health care, nutritious food and a clean environment so that they will stay healthy. Richer countries should help poorer countries achieve this.

The Community immunisation session will be held as scheduled.
