A new $2.6million sports pavilion at R.G. Chisholm Reserve in Sandringham will feature environmentally sensitive design and unisex change rooms to accommodate growing numbers of female footballers and cricketers.

Design and planning for the new pavilion is well underway, with building scheduled to commence later this year.

The new pavilion will provide a modern and adaptable facility for East Sandringham Cricket Club and East Sandringham Junior Football Club, helping to support health and wellbeing within the Bayside community.

The new pavilion on Duncan Street is the 6th pavilion in Council’s $33 million plan to upgrade 24 sports pavilions across the municipality over nine years

Pavilion features include:

  • Modern, environmentally sensitive design
  • Unisex change rooms
  • All abilities access
  • Social space
  • Kitchen facilities
  • Unisex umpires and first aid facilities.
  • Public toilets.

The new pavilion is scheduled for completion early in 2019.
