Electrify your cooking and save

Reduce your bills by installing an induction cooktop through our Love Bayside, Electrify Everything program

Did you know cooking makes up around 5% of the energy bill of an average Victorian home? With winter upon us and gas bills rising, now is the perfect time to consider an efficient induction cooktop.

Induction cooktops are around three times more efficient than gas cooktops and up to 10% more efficient than electric cooktops, providing an excellent opportunity to reduce energy bills. They also avoid harmful emissions from a naked gas flame, which are known to cause respiratory issues.

Induction cooktops are easier to clean and are favoured by a growing range of professional chefs, providing quicker cooking times and greater temperature control.

How do induction cooktops work?

Induction cooktops use electromagnetic technology to heat the cookware and its contents directly without wasting energy heating the surrounding cooking surface. They are much more efficient and result in a cooler kitchen.

They require compatible cookware, so try attaching a fridge magnet to your current cookware. If it sticks, the cookware is ready to use.
