“Wild About Book Week” launch with Sarah Speedie

Is your family "Wild About Book Week"? We are! Come along to celebrate the launch of this beautiful picture book and meet the author, Sarah Speedie, and maybe even find inspiration for a wild book week costume...

Sarah Speedie lives near the beach with her husband, two children, and their fur-baby, Dutch, a bulldog who loves stand-up paddle-boarding! Sarah loves to write funny picture books. Her debut picture book, "Mozzies Vs Flies" (illustrated by Rebel Challenger, Larrikin House, 2021) was shortlisted in the Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Awards 2022. She is also the author of "Meowster Chef" (illustrated by Marina Verola, Larrikin House, 2022) and "Boss Cat" (illustrated by Tom Jellett, HarperCollins, 2024). Fun fact, "Wild About Book Week" is inspired by Sarah's own children, who always went WILD for Book Week.

Stay back after our regular storytime to join in the fun. Dressing up is optional but wildly appreciated! Books will be available for purchase and there will be fun activities for children.
