"Under Cover" film screening and hot lunch for Homelessness Week

Join us at Sandringham Library to share a hot lunch while we watch a documentary written and directed by an incredible local filmmaker, Sue Thomson.

Narrated by Margot Robbie and sharing the often-secret lives of an eclectic group of women across Australia, "Under Cover" shines a light on the devastating reality that women over 50 are the fastest growing cohort experiencing homelessness in the country. Their moving but optimistic portraits reveal the struggles these women face, and lay bare the flaws in our society, as well as our economic fragility in the modern world.

In 2024, Homelessness Week will be held from Monday August 5 to Sunday August 11. The theme for Homelessness Week 2024 is “Homelessness Action Now”. Take action and book your ticket to this educational and inspiring event.
