Reclaim the Void - NAIDOC Week workshop

Bayley Arts is presenting two weaving workshops for the Reclaim the Void project as part of this year's NAIDOC Week celebrations. The workshops coincide with the exhibition Concentric Unity: Jintaka- juku showing at Bayley Arts Gallery 6th to 19th July.
Reclaim the Void is a bold, cross-cultural project about the 'gaping mining holes left all over country'. It will result in a huge dot-artwork made up of thousands of handmade circular rag-rugs woven from discarded fabric.
Project organisers from Reclaim the Void have given special permission to extended the workshops to include rugs made from Bayley Arts. We are inviting the community to help us continue and complete 'in progress' rugs to contribute to the project! Once completed, the rugs will be sent to Reclaim the Void in Perth.
