National Tree Day community planting

Come along and take part in Australia's largest community tree planting and nature care event, National Tree Day. Established in 1996, National Tree Day is a call to action for all Australians to get their hands dirty and give back to the community.

In Bayside, this year's National Tree Day community planting will take place a the northern end of the Trevor Barker Beach oval. The meeting place is at B6 Hampton Beach Triangle Gardens Carpark, off Beach Road, Hampton.

There are over 350 local indigenous shrubs and grasses to be planted, sourced from Bayside Community Nursery. The planting will improve biodiversity for local fauna species and assist with wildlife corridor connectivity.

Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring along gloves and a hand trowel, if you have them. Equipment for watering will be supplied.
