Street Light, it’s the only light I know
As part of the Street Lighting Upgrade project we have been upgrading over 1,075 Bayside streetlights to more energy efficient LED technology.
The new lights perform better, last longer and are between 38% and 60% more efficient than the existing lights depending on their wattage.
Stage 1 and 2 have been completed and Stage 3 is set to commence in early June. Lights on Hampton Road and residential streets in the Hampton area will be upgraded as well as the Nepean Highway and South Road intersection. The initiative is funded by the Federal Government’s ‘Local Roads and Community Infrastructure’ program.
