    Conservation and Conversation

    Free

    Conservation and Conversation working bees are a great way to learn more about some of Bayside's beautiful heathland, bushland and foreshore reserves and the volunteers who work hard to maintain and improve them. Come along and join in a regular working bee and hear more about the Reserve from the Volunteer Reserve Convenor while enjoying a cuppa with old friends and new. Two of our Reserves are holding Conversation and Conservation working bees, conveniently located a short walk from each other.

    You're invited to the opening of the 2024 Bayside Painting Prize exhibition, announcement of the winner of the $25,000 major prize and the $10,000 Beckett Local Prize. Visitors will also have the opportunity to vote for the $1,000 People's Choice Prize on the night.

"The Engraver's Secret" is a stunning art history thriller set around the life, times, and feuds of the artist Peter Paul Rubens and tells the story of two women, a mysterious map, and a family secret spanning hundreds of years.

    Tuning in to Kids is an evidenced based, 6-week parenting program for parents/carers to strengthen the emotional connection with their child/children. It teaches skills in emotion coaching to help your child develop skills of emotional intelligence. Children with greater emotional intelligence have been shown to be more resilient and have greater success in being able to self soothe when upset or angry, in making friendships, managing conflict, as well as a predictor of academic and career success.
