World Habitat Day: gardening for biodiversity with Gio Fitzpatrick

Orange and black butterfly sitting on a yellow flower with its wings spread open

Join us this World Habitat Day to hear multi-award-winning naturalist and author of "The Gardener's Guide to the Birds of South East Melbourne", Gio Fitzpatrick.

Gio believes that if native biodiversity is to survive into the long term, we need to welcome it into our gardens, farms and city streets.

He is dedicated to developing methods to make space for wildlife in the changing environment, and invites everyone to try it and feel the rewards.

Copies of Gio's book will be available for $15, as well as keystone habitat plant seedlings for a gold coin.
