What's on at Billilla

We are hosting a number of events in the gardens of the historic Billilla mansion during 2024 as part of our reactivation of this wonderful community facility.

Here’s a snapshot of what’s in store.

Outdoor Arts Lab

Outdoor Arts Lab at Billilla is a unique opportunity for artists to explore diverse artistic outcomes in an outdoor setting. Artists will spend up to two weeks in the gardens, (8am-8pm) and present an artist talk and showing of their work to the Bayside community.

Find out more on the artists and their public performance at Billilla.

Flower Pot music

Everyone is invited to bring Billilla gardens to life with the ringing sound of flowerpots.

Composed by Elliot Cole, Flowerpot music is a composition celebrating the unlikely beauty of the humble flowerpot.

No musical experience required, you will be guided through the musical soundscape through easy to learn games appropriate for musicians and non-musicians of all levels by internationally renowned percussionist and educator Dr Louise Devenish.

All you need is yourself, open ears, and a flowerpot.

Date: 16 June 2024
Time: 1-4pm
Location: Billilla Mansion and Gardens, 26 Halifax Street Brighton
Cost: FREE
