Recycling collection
Household recycling is removed fortnightly, using a 240 litre blue wheelie bin.
See the area map below to check when your household recycling will be collected.
The following items belong in the recycling bin
- aluminium and steel cans:
- drink cans
- steel food cans
- empty aerosol cans
- clean foil trays
- glass bottles and jars (remove lids)
- milk and juice cartons (rinse and flatten)
- paper and cardboard:
- newspaper
- magazines
- junk mail
- cardboard packaging (flatten cardboard boxes)
- office paper
- envelopes
- telephone books
- wrapping paper
- plastic bottles:
- soft drink
- milk
- juice
- detergent and shampoo bottles (remove lids)
Do not place the following materials in your recycling bin
- ceramics, crockery
- drinking glasses
- food scraps or garden wast
- polystyrene
- plastic shopping bags
- plastic wrap
- plastic motor oil container
- waxed cardboard (e.g. waxed fruit boxes)
- window glass, light globes
