Growing our local and visitor economy

What do you think about our new five-year Economic Development, Tourism and Placemaking Strategy (EDTPS)?

We’re seeking your feedback on the actions and initiatives we’ll deliver over the next five years to support the local economy, foster sustainable tourism, and create vibrant, functional activity centres that people want to spend time in.

The draft Strategy has already been informed by feedback from more than 1,000 community members and traders across two earlier phases of engagement. Now we want to know if we’ve got it right.

Included in the draft Strategy are the top three factors our community told us would boost the Bayside economy and support business:

  1. Social media marketing support and training
  2. More food and wine festivals, markets, concerts and musical performances
  3. Cleanliness of public areas, greening and public places to sit.

Read our draft Strategy and share your views before consultation closes on 9 May 2024.
